You hear a Common Yellowthroat long before you see one. That bright witchety-witchety song comes out of the low brush, and then -- if you wait -- a small bird with a black bandit's mask darts up, all yellow throat and quick movement, and is gone again. I caught one of those moments here, the warbler half-hidden among the Indian hemp, the way it really lives: tucked into the green, showing itself only for a second.
That is what 'Hidden Treasures' is about. The best birds on my morning walks in Davis, West Virginia were never the ones out in the open -- they were the ones you had to earn, the flash of color you almost missed. I built the piece wet-on-wet, in layers and with no drawing first, so the warbler feels like it is still moving, still deciding whether to let you look.

Materials: Prints of my original, handmade pieces are made using only archival inks on heavyweight archival rag paper by Moab designed to last a lifetime. Learn more about my materials and process.
Framing: All work is elegantly framed in pristine white handmade wooden frames. The frames are 1.5" deep and handcrafted from solid wood by my favorite local framer.
A Note About Your Print's Edges: Each print arrives with a thin 1/8" white border all around—this bit of breathing space ensures that more of the image remains visible when framed, as standard framing techniques can obscure the edges.
If you prefer your image printed edge-to-edge without this margin, simply add a note with your order requesting "full-frame printing" and I'll happily accommodate.

Packaging: Prints 18x24” and larger are rolled and will arrive in sturdy mailing tubes. Smaller prints are shipped flat.
Shipping: Prints up to and including 30x40 ship FREE to the continental U.S. For larger works, please email us with your zip code for a quote.
Schedule: Please allow 1-2 weeks for processing and shipping. Larger orders may require additional time. If your order is time-sensitive, please leave us a note during checkout, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
International: Please contact us directly before placing your order for international shipping. Provide the items you're interested in and your shipping address so we can estimate shipping costs and any constraints.
Insurance: We provide complimentary shipping insurance for all orders. In the event that your item arrives damaged, please document it with pictures and notify us immediately so we can initiate a claim on your behalf.
